
Competition Registration
Deadline: Friday, January 8, 2027
Please complete the Design Plan Form provided below and submit your application through the competition registration form.
If the number of applications exceeds the maximum number of participating teams, a document screening process will be conducted. Screening results are scheduled to be announced by mid-January 2027.

Eligibility for Participation

As a general rule, eligible participants are students enrolled in high schools, colleges of technology (KOSEN), universities, or graduate schools in Japan, as well as working professionals. Participation from overseas is subject to coordination with the Organizing Secretariat.

Each team may be accompanied by up to one advisor for guidance and supervision. However, the advisor must not be involved in any way in the direct development, piloting, or operation of the rover.

All costs associated with participation in the competition, including rover construction, transportation of the rover to and from the venue, participants’ travel expenses, and travel insurance, must be borne by the participants.

Each team must provide at least one member to assist the staff with venue setup and teardown.
[About the Professional Category]

If a team includes one or more working professionals, excluding the advisor defined above, the team shall participate in the Professional Category.

If there are many applications for the Professional Category, the Organizing Secretariat will select the participating teams, giving priority to teams recognized as contributing to industrial development in Tottori Prefecture, such as those with business offices in the prefecture.

Teams in the Professional Category may not enter the Expert Division.
Competition Divisions and Maximum Number of Teams
Applications will be accepted in the following three divisions:
Entry Division: Up to 12 teams
Basic Division: Up to 12 teams
Expert Division: Up to 6 teams
